The building of a small business

Wow, it has been a long time since we have blogged! To be honest, been really busy painting new designs...and I am a slow painter...

first let's catch up...

My 2nd ever, QVC appearance,
(really awesome experience to get on live tv- and great exposure for unforgettaballs.com):

This was in November of 07, around the 25th, at 1am.

Spent my first hour waiting to go on QVC, with our baseballs, in the waiting area talking to Chuck Woolery, who might just be one of the most genuine, nicest people I have ever met. He gave me tips for going on air and not being too nervous- which I was anyway, but was nice of him to say...and he was perfectly tanned in the middle of November in his Gucci shoes!

It was a sell out! And we left QVC unable to give some of the backstage people who wanted to order Unforgettaball baseballs, b/c we completely ran out!

We will be back on QVC for Father's Day in '08...

back to blog again soon-off to keep working the business (unforgettaballs)!

Just wanted to let you know I happened to be tuned in during this event (I'm a QVC fanatic) and was very intrigued by your product (it's a great gift for my kids). I wanted to order a ball but you sold out before I got the call in! I have since been to your site to view your products but I was wondering what new balls you were planning to release? Also I was wondering if you had a service where I provide you with my email and receive updates, deals, info, etc.

Big Joe,

Thanks for watching the QVC show, they did sell out really fast! Which was great, but I felt badly for the people working at QVC who were waiting until the end of the show to get them!

We will soon have a 'join our email list' on the website, but until then, just go to the 'contact us' form on the site, and email us and we will put you on the list.

I am working on so many new designs right now, 3 team related balls and a few political baseballs as well for the election year. Check back- and send in your email address the new designs should be up in the next few months!

thanks for your interest-
Emily W.

Is there a way to find out when you will be on QVC next? Do you sell different designs then are on your site?

Getting on QVC all by your self can be really hard, I had tried it, and didn't get to far, but then I found a company that will help pitch your idea to QVC, and they were the ones to really get me on. It was really worth it, b/c they had the idea of selling 3 balls at once which QVC liked, and they knew that my product would be best as a 'gift item'.

I will be on QVC again in May or early June of this year, but don't worry, I will post it on the site as soon as I know!!

was just curious how you select which balls to sell on the show. do you select them or does QVC have a hand in choosing the balls?

QVC really picks what is shown, you bring them your suggestions, but they choose what they think will fit best with their audience.
